Or, look for closely spaced isobars for indication of wave some time in the future. Each site below gives you a choice of how far into the future you would like to see. Of course, accuracy decreases as prediction time increases.

Isobar850 This is the Unysis predictor for 850mb, or about 4,400 feet, suitable for Hollister.

Isobar700 Ditto for 700mb, about 10,000 feet, might be better for Minden.

Isobar500 Or even 18,000 feet, if you're real aggressive!

Remember these sites are all in Zulu time. Zero ZULU, i.e. midnight, is 4.00 PM California time the day before, 5:00 PM during daylight savings time.
